The winds knocked out our power. That doesn’t happen too often since they power company cut back the trees a few years ago.

Was out a little over an hour. Not bad. Kudos to the utility workers who got things back up.

We got some rain and I little wind, but not bad at all - although more of it was supposed to be just west of here. Will see what overnight brings. yeah, gonna be chilly later next week. Stay warm.

Good evening gang! Congrats to you, Andy.

It's raining like nobody's bin-ness right now, and pretty cold. Just not cold enough to turn to snow. Maaaayyyyybbbeeeeee on Monday night through Tuesday. ( 8" to 10" range for right now.) The company where I'm contracting at is closed on Monday, so there's a day off w/o pay.

I used to be into the 1/10 th scale crawlers, I don't have any vehicles left, except for my 1/6th scale Willys Hasbro jeep that I converted to RC a decade ago. I haven't run it in over a year, but maybe some snow crawling around the yard if it ever snows.

Yeah, screw that! You're tougher then me. The less young that I get, the more that 70° and sunny sounds like a better way to spend a winter.

If I retired I would take a little fun and chill time, probably a little traveling. But I'd definitely need to do something to keep busy for sure.

Same reason I am 24 yrs in at my company, despite some of the nonsense. They aren't doing pension funding anymore (they put in every year, you didn't) but I have dumped a lot in the 401K. Pensions are almost unheard of nowadays starting a career unless you're in a union it seems. I could get another job and maybe make a little more but losing that plus the very good insurance would hit me.

Currently -28*. Forecast says overnight low of -33*… thinking it’s gonna be way worse than that.

You can have it if I can have some blistering heat

    Oh hells to the no.

I hate winter in general anyways. I'd snap if that was my situation.

Blankets and cats on top is my method

Lots of blankies. No cats but I do have MermAndy. He’s not a lot of help though.

I have my skull blanket, Misfits quilt, and one Ozzy. 2 other cats but Thug Rose is here and there on the lap stuff, and Chase is a total cat.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Yeah, nobody was renting them. Someone also figured out that replacing the battery pack cost more than the value of the car. Great investment!
