It takes a lot of heat to melt JB weld, like it's an excellent insulator.


Also went for a rip in the -10 sun this morning and the boost controller on the taco was lost l. First pull spiked to 14psi and trimmed back for safety to wastegate (2.3 PSI). Couple more pulls and the long term trim figured it out though and got back to 9psi.

 

15* out and the 7.3 started right up, not plugged in for two weeks. Expected some drama but no.

 

I've had my truck in -10° before. She did not like it one bit. Metal stuff starts to behave weirdly at those temps.

 

The battery in the 4runner was very sluggish this morning at 15°. Looks like we'll be having a couple of more days of this crap. Hopefully the batt holds up.

Mine definitely rides rougher in the cold but other than that it's fine

 

I had to put a new battery in my truck this year. Made all the difference but such a shitty thing to have to spend money on lol

 

I'm glad I don't have to make the trip to school and back anymore

Dex was not excited about the 2 hour ride, but he got to go in the truck with me. He pressed the window button all the way down on a turn I made at one point and nearly fell out the fucking window.

 

Mine started up right away thankfully. Which is a bit of a mystery since my map has no data below 20°. So I guess it interpolated.

 

Oh yeah see I don't think that's supposed to be like that

 

Is that a non interference motor?
