    Yep I stated tundra shopping again I can get a limited loaded for $2k more after discounts than what the dealer is wanting for my 4th gen.

    @woodsy

    Sitting here getting wifes RXh serviced and our second key finally and theres a 2023 GX Premium 460 with 2.49% financing that is oftely appealing, its definitely a more solid feel as expected with a vehicle still assembled in Japan. You did well sir. Not sure its a good 2+ kid ride as its not much bigger than the wife's RX inside wise but I def like it.

    What's weird with the Tundra pricing is you can load up a Platinum or 1794 with all the options, to include a 3" lift and it is more than a TRD Pro.

    Think both those packages have more options like the heads up display you cant get on the Pro, but ya still weird as the crown jewel is less than some models.

    Why is that weird? The platinum and 1794 are classy and sophisticated. The Pro is for the Bros. I’d take a 1794 over everything. Especially with the baseball glove leather.

    I pretty much have the exact same assessment as you do. I was planning on selling my Bronco to get a 4th gen but it just doesn’t make sense to do it. My Bronco was $40k with the same engine basically, a better manual trans, a rear locker, coils on all four corners, same towing capacity, more interior space, and better standard technology, not to mention the convertible/removable doors factor. Just can’t justify spending $10k more to get an equivalent Taco especially considering my ‘17 TRD OR was $32k new.

    Classy and sophisticated vs Pro/Bro? Is that the same as Cadillacs vs Corvettes? Depends on intended use and personal preference.

    Don’t see the point of either… :)

    I like the UN spec models.

    $51K with "full options" sounds good but few US buyers would want the spartan interior and rough ride. Except maybe the true Toyota fanatics that pay stupid money to drive J60s.

    Like that spartan interior, yeah you’re right since majority of US truck buyers don’t really use them as intended, they would hate it.

    Have a cure for the rough ride. :)

    Liking the HiLux better, still can get an access cab. Around $36,500 OTD after currency conversion, maybe a little cheaper depending on taxes. :)

    As long as the air conditioner works well, that’s all me and my dog need.

    if driving around the World is the daily drive, then yes! My wife and I have toyed with the idea for retirement.

    I have dailied far worse things, our old 1 ton and 2.5 ton dump trucks didn’t even have air conditioning. 2/55 and that was it with bench seats. Once you bounce around in those things 8-14 hours a day for years, everything else seems lux. Probably why I think the SR Tacomas are plush and a little too nice.

    That thing would be perfect to pair with a flatbed FWC....And probably has the payload to do it...
