It got up to near 60F today before the cold front moved through. Temps are dropping. The snowblower wasn’t running too good after the last batch of snow. The needle on the float disintegrated from the ethanol gas. Rebuilt kit or chinesium new carb… went with the new carb for the same price as the rebuilt kit. It’ll last 4 - 5 years before it craps out and has to be replaced. Came with a fuel shut off, too, to keep the full tank of gas from dripping out all over the shed floor. Enough for one day. Oh, yeah, had to do my woman’s work as well - vacuum and fold the clean clothes.

That's a wimpy answer. If people are worried about driving in the snow they can stay home and watch the game on TV.

I started getting my small engine fuel from an ethanol-free gas station, after having the same issue with my pressure washer and my weedeater.

It’s hard to find around here at a place that actually has a pump. Most sell it in the quart or gallon cans. I’m cheap and can’t bring myself to buy a $20.00 gallon of gas.

A couple of rear window decals...
There are a couple of stations in Murfreesboro that are 100% ethanol-free. It cost about 30-40% more, so it's not such a price killer.

The guy who owns the JD/Stihl dealership told me about it years ago. I run it in everything, lawn mower, weed whip, chain saw, leaf blower, snow blower. He kinda made a joke about it, you run this gas you won’t need me for much service.

The Socialist State of CT makes ethanol free gas at the pump hard to find. There’s a sizable premium to buy it in prepackaged cans.
