20230204_124736.jpg 20230204_124729.jpg Fwiw. Had mine about a year and they started rusting. Its kinda localized on just one spot so I think its a flaw in the powder coating. In tucson az and I've never had a bit of rust on any vehicle.

Yes, we offer free shipping on sliders to residential, we may ask for extra charge if you live in the middle of nowhere though that happens 100/1 times.

@floridalawdog when I ordered mine in the middle of Covid a few years ago, there was a shipping charge for residential, but I also live in WA. It wasn't a huge additional charge, maybe an extra $150 which was understandable given there size and weight.

Hello fellow taco'ers (not sure that is a real term).

Good news: I picked up a set of Caliraised 0 degree sliders (with filler plates) a couple of days ago from a local dealer (Overland Outfitters) who did a fantastic job with the powder coating. A couple of areas may need a very minor touch up after but that can wait. It was also my first real "payload" in the truck, other than some bricks and other odds and ends.

Also good news: The install video from Caliraised has been fantastic - so far - I was able to prep (remove some bolts) without any issues - except this:

    https://youtu.be/JbiEp9R-QlQ?si=7Mu0sDLOyGgwKDbO

Bad news: I can't take off the 14 mm frame bolt - anyone else have an issue with this step? I started with a 14 mm wrench, which started to slip so I aborted that for fear of stripping the bolt head. I switched to a 14 mm hex socket on a ratchet but it started to deform the hex socket !!!

It was cold (6-8 degrees celsius - I'm in Vancouver Canada), sprayed some WD40, but didn't want to overdo it in case I completely strip the head. Man, everything was going SO well, I was so disappointed when I could loosen that 14 mm bolt. ugh.

Is this a common issue with the 14 mm bolt? Any words of advice?

Wow - A response from CaliRaised!

Good news: PB Blaster and a good torque wrench and it came out.

Bad news: the slider is misaligned by a few mm's, the front might need to be bent a wee bit where it contacts the cross member, so it does not sit flush with against the frame in the front etc. I may also need to drill out the oval hole a bit (where the 14 mm bolt goes).

The problem is, I fix "humans", not cars, LOL. I don't have the tools to do this stuff. A friend does and he is willing to spend a day with me (an awesome way to bond with a friend and my truck), but my wife is telling me to just bring it back to the shop (Overland Outfitters) and save some time. I was under the silly assumption this would be a "simple" bolt on procedure.

Question: is this the "norm" for these sliders ie. requiring slight modifications for it to fit properly?
