I can’t seem to get organized at my house never mind taking them on trips. I don’t think you’re monopolizing this thread at all! I love coming in here and seeing what people have.

I have heard of people putting them into n pizza boxes because of the low profile. Clean ones of course.

I bought a couple of the black boxes and filled them but they just didnt hold enough. They also get wrecked after a few times getting handed around.

Found a few Batmobiles out today. All of the OG ones were slightly opened so I snagged the one that would save me $2.50

I have a lot of big tubs but you can’t see what’s on the bottom. My plan was to get the tubs that hold wrapping paper. They are long but low to slide under a bed.

I'm a little behind everyone else but I got these too. Wanted to add the 33 Willy's pick up with these but didn't prefer the the way they look. May still track one down for modification. The last 2 are proof that not everything works out when you do modifications, The Crown Vic will go back to having wide whitewalls and hubcaps. The M2 Silverado was a major disappointment when the white decals were removed and I saw the discoloration underneath. It will have to be repainted when I find a color close enough to match. M2s are a pain because their paint doesn't even hold up to a dry eraser. Their base colors usually hold up but anything else doesn't.hot wheels shoot 1023 009.jpg hot wheels shoot 1023 011.jpg hot wheels shoot 1023 051.jpg hot wheels shoot 1023 065.jpg

The Thunder Wagon A100 Dodge that William63 sent me needed a little lift in the front end. This is more in line with how these trucks really looked. Its funny the straight axle front end is under the truck but they chose to have the front wheels set at stock height.
The little Ram 50 / Arrow pick up should have been a fun model kit to build but was the AMT kit from hell. The frame was twisted and it was a nightmare to line up. Had to use a heat gun on it to get it close. The motor was junk has well and I used what I could and bashed the rest from my spare parts, Nothing would fit properly, I turned out pretty nice in spite of me being ready to throw it against the wall a couple times. Glad I didn't.

Thunder Wagon looks great! I forgot how cool those wheel standers are. Forgot where I put the others. Really need to get organized this year

What is the best way to swap wheels on 1/64 cars? I’d like to give it a shot one of these days.

There are different ways. Actually a difference between "easiest way to" and "best way to".
There are YouTube videos showing just wheel swaps. It gets interesting, and even very involved and relatively expensive even.
On mine I just swap standard axles and wheels between models, glue the axles below the chassis to create a lifted look on trucks, etc. so zero cost, a little time but still satisfying.

Yeah after I made my post, I went straight to YouTube. (Probably should have done that first) but…..I quickly realized exactly what you said is very true. Those guys make it look so easy.

I’d like to take a one of the novas I have and do a rendition of my car. 1st pic is my car, second one is not. My car does have a cowl hood on it that I left in black primer like what is on the second pic.
