Article 10.05- Using one-way viewing glass and dyes in the glass windshield and windows

Prohibiting the use of one-way viewing glass on the windshield and glass windows of motor vehicles. It equally prohibits alteration by applying dyes and any other material or product used as a sunscreen on your windshield and windows glass motor vehicles to produce a percentage of visible light transmission less than thirty-five percent (35%). shall be exempt from the application of this Article the official government vehicles, ambulances, armored vehicles engaged in transportation stock, vehicles specially designed and dedicated exclusively to the transportation of tourists, or public transport of passengers or cargo, as established by the Commission and those vehicles whose windows or rear windows come factory equipped with dyes that produce a percentage of light transmission less than that indicated in this Article. are understood rear window glass or those placed in the car and are behind the driver's seat.

Also exempted from this provision, vehicles certified by the Secretary for such purposes, for medical reasons, after assessing the relevant application.

Anyone claiming to be exempt for legitimate health of the provisions of this Article shall include in its application a certification from a physician, surgeon or optometrist duly licensed to practice medicine in Puerto Rico where the physician stating that under with the applicant's medical history, it requires the use of dyes or any other material or product in the glass of the vehicle used by him as a protection against the sun. This certification should be in the form for this purpose authorized by the Secretary.

The Secretary may require an assessment of that application by the Medical Advisory Board and may prescribe the conditions and limitations as it deems relevant certificates and permits issued for this purpose, when he considers necessary to fulfill the purposes of this Article.

The permit issued to a person under the provisions of this Article shall be taken continuously in the motor vehicle or the person to whom it is issued. It is the responsibility of the person to whom it is issued to remove the vehicle certification dye or any other material or product that has been authorized to use the same when transferred, assign, sell or otherwise dispose of the vehicle and be required to provide proof of removal to the Traffic Division of the Police of their jurisdiction to demonstrate that it complied with this provision.

The Secretary shall determine and promulgate by regulation to effect all matters relating to shipping, handling and collection costs, characteristics, use, renewal and cancellation of certificates and permits are allowed here, which must be renewed annually.

Every driver operare a motor vehicle in violation of this Section shall be guilty of an administrative offense and liable to a fine of one hundred (100) dollars. The offender will be granted no later than seven (7) calendar days to report to police headquarters to be designated to show it has corrected the deficiency. At present the offender within the period granted herein and demonstrate that it has removed or dyes other materials or products installed in violation of the provisions of this Article, shall file the fine imposed under the provisions of this Article. also denied permission for inspection provisions of Article 12.02 of this Act to any applicant whose vehicle comply with the provisions of this Article.
