Finally back home, had the puppy with me and she really enjoys the heated seats in the rav. Had to gently shake her awake to get her out of this position. Typically she wakes up when I park the car, not this time.

 

Thanks to the Arctic air here in Colorado, the Taco was finally able to haul the sleds to the lake.

 

Good evening, stockers! I'm in a dilemma.. I've arranged to have NTB take back the Rubitrack tires and exchange them for the Hankook Dynapro AT Extremes, only to find out today that they claim that they can't get the tires. ( back ordered, not available, yatta yatta yatta..) so now I need to figure out something else to run. I really am not too keen on the cooper discoverers, what else should I be considering in the stock size? 245/75/16. I want some sort of AT tread, not an all season tire. The Falkens are just noisy as hell to me.

 

In another thread, a photo was posted of the CyberTruk (Lagoon?) with Falken AT4W tires and the OP was wondering those would be available for the Tacoma. So I looked and Falken has the AT3W and HT02 listed for Tacoma but you have to look at the specific tire and sizes to find the stock size, LT245/75R16. Since my daughter's Ascent came with Falken tires, and the Subaru salesman has been pleased with them, he is planning on Falkens for his '99 Four Runner's next set. Which version of the Cooper Discoverer?

I'm on my 3rd (soon to be 4th) set of the Discoverer AT3 LT (265/75 16 Load Range C). Not loud and couldn't be more pleased with the performance.

My sump pump finally kicked on. It's on the back corner (driveway side) of my house. Hasn't kicked on in over 10 years. That's when I had my driveway redone and the company regraded that side to shed backyard water down the side of the house and out to the street. Ground is obviously saturated.

Indeed. It's tucked under the basement stairs and is plumbed (PVC) to drain into my main basement drain. Plumber installed it many years ago. From time to time I had wondered if it was ever going to kick on, and if it did would it work? I was wondering if things would dry out or seize up. Guess it's good to go.
