    You can always use that as an excuse to drop your larger-than-expected tinder date off on the curb. “Sorry babe, please don’t take offence, but you are 1lb over my max payload”

    1kg = 1 lb. Nice.

    I guess they must round up...

    They took 1lb off of the payload to account for the added weight of ... the de-rating sticker.

    I'm certain Toyota and their legal team are cognizant of the fact. Which is why they take the step of documenting the slightest change in payload to avoid dealing with people and their stupidity.

    Kinda saying the same thing more than you think

    I was just looking at a European RV manufacturers website yesterday and there are notifications EVERYWHERE about adding this option changes your payload by 3.5 kg or whatever it was. You even had to accept a disclaimer about weight and options before you could view the detail info.

    Work in progress...
    I had one of those stickers on my truck. I took it off because the weight of the sticker reduced my payload.

    I’m not sure if I’m missing the joke, but 1kg is closer to 2.21 lbs by modern definition which is based on the metric system. I personally round it off to 2 for napkin calculations. I spent way too much time in mechanical engineering school converting back and forth between metric and imperial units. Can’t we all just use the metric system? And 24 hour (aka military) time too?

    I always thought it was 2.25 growing up, I did a quick google when I made the meme and it showed 2.26 somehow.

    It's 2.2

    I'm not just wrong, I'm incorrecting wrong. Super.

    I discovered the same '1 Lb' sticker on my '23 DCSB 4x4 which had all-weather floor mats and mudflaps installed at 'port'. :)
