Be careful of those Sundogs if it gets colder than that! Just took the dogs out and there is a Sundog on the loose. Got the sun and right side dog, and halo. Wasn't going to walk up the hill to get both of them LOL

 

It’s going to be a shock to these southern cats and dogs system for sure none of them are old enough to have ever looked at snow before.

 

Man that really is to bad they wimped out. That would have been an epic game worth watching! From my couch of course...

Just got back home from a overnight stay at my Brother's house

It's very Brrrrrrrrrrr here with clear blue skies

Shoveled the sidewalks so we could go to church this morning but skipped the walk with the dog. The winds are too brisk. They even set off my Ring camera.

Here, they're saying that the annual Sturgeon spearing season (mid Feb) is going to be interesting because there very likely won't be enough ice on the lakes to support vehicles, which pull the shanties onto the ice to make seeing the Sturgeon much easier. At this point, there is almost no ice on Lake Winnebago, the primary lake, much less being frozen over, as it normally would be by early Jan at the latest.

With the forecast being below zero the next 4-5 nights, the lake will likely freeze over, but it will be a long way from having the 12"+ that is needed to support vehicles.

There are other ice fishing events by the end of the month that, at this point, are very much in doubt of happening.

Very weird year for sure.
