Swapped my tie rods. I like to change them every 360k miles just to be on the safe side.

    Nice!

I’d like to change out my pathetically non retracting driver side seat belt :frusty:

It's money well spent. I replaced mine with a new one from the Toyota dealer a few weeks ago and I smile a little every time I use it.

Approximately what did that OEM assembly run you at the dealer?

    Bone stock so far!
I wonder if this would help me. The retractor on my driver's side belt is SO aggressive. All throughout my drive it constantly pulls and tightens and every 5 minutes I'm yanking on it to let me breathe, pain in the ass.

That's surprising to hear. Most people with first gens with older/worn seat belts complain about the opposite issue (not retracting very well).

I think mine was around $170 as well, maybe a bit more.

Use your VIN (either on a Toyota parts site or on www.toyodiy.com) to get the right part number. There are a lot of variations (cab type, color, position year).

Sometime around 1999-2000 model year Toyota started adding pretensioners to Tacoma seat belts. The pretensioner is an explosive charge that fires along with the air bags. Those belts will be more expensive to buy and ship. Not a concern for you and your '95 though.

What's the consensus on stop leak in the steering rack?

    A) Power steering stop leak
    B) Transmission stop leak

Hammers is 2 weeks away. The only answer I have time for is A or B

Pretty sure the answer is B

B, really anything that swells seals will work here, a little bit of brake fluid is an old used car lot trick to swell seals too

    Thank you sir :hattip:

    BTW...
    I drove it

It went go when it was supposed to go

It stopped when it was supposed to stop

    :devil::devil::mudding::devil::devil:

Hammertown bound. It has to go in the shop tomorrow for the exhaust work. Because fuckit I'd rather pay someone to do it.

No muffler right now, sounds pretty cool obnoxious the drone would get old real quick.

Even with a muffler that drone gets obnoxious real quick. I’ve got a super 44 dumped at the end of the cab and I’ve been meaning to put a resonator and dump it further back for a year now. Drives me insane on the highway
