I thought Bear Spray was illegal up north? Or is just the US brands that are outlawed?

Totally legal. I can't quote all of the regulations from memory, but there is usually a form that needs to be filled out at point of purchase. I'd guess there are probably age restrictions too.

Ya, bear spray is legal...pepper spray illegal. *shrugs*

Self defense from bear is allowed. Self defense from another human, bad.

That’s good to know! My wife and I signed up for the NEXUS program and I swore that the Border Patrol said no bear spray. Perhaps I misheard pepper spray or lumped the two together. One of these days we want to head up to Vancouver Island and/or make the drive to Alaska through BC. Bear spray would help ease our nerves while camping out.

I have usually declared any bear spray to the border guards when driving from Montana into Alberta or British Columbia. They have no problems with transporting bear spray into Canada.

It's all about the packaging and commercially stated purpose on the package. If its labelled, advertised and sold as "bear spray" you're good to go. However, if your planned visit is to a metropolitan centre, say Toronto or Montreal, while technically legal, they may ..... ask more questions. If is simply says it's for personal protection without any specifics, that would be prohibited.

This is called a quarryman's rest. There were several granite quarries around Stone Mountain in the early part of the 20th century. The workers would build a rest area out of granite blocks with a fire pit. This is located within Stone Mountain Park.

Great outing today! Found a new treasure spot to come back to once spring is here. Found an old snow plow which is definitely a new one for me. The bowl to the best of my knowledge is no newer than 193020240205_140839.jpg 20240205_144639.jpg 20240205_151741.jpg 20240205_152635.jpg 20240205_152651.jpg 20240205_152716.jpg 20240205_152747.jpg 20240205_155818.jpg 20240205_155839.jpg
