All of the SRs cost the same regardless of color. The more expensive trims have more features. It’s not like it’s an eighties “muscle car” that was just stripes and mag wheels.

WTF! The features are pretty damn close for two different model trucks. It’s never going to be exactly the same.

And that’s when you reach out to Granger Ford in Iowa who will do 4% below invoice, plus rebates you qualify for and get a much better deal. A RCSB 5.0 would be fun as hell for sub $38k.

Dennis Dillion here used to be pretty good about getting under invoice, haven’t look too hard recently.

    Yeah it would!
Yeah because OpeCity is totally inept picking up on sarcasm. Everything goes well over his head.

If I come off as a douche bag, not to worry, have been called worse, could go full on dickhead mode if ya like. :)

Everyone is spoiled to an extent. You were spoiled when you were using hand crank windows in your vehicle instead of walking.
I think a large part of it is age; I'm 55 and don't need (or want) alot of the new technology (to a degree ), but if someone else likes that stuff then I'm happy its available for them.
But.....the new prices are bordering on stupidity imo.....

Well, in this case it went right over my head too. And as a fellow douche bag and dickhead, I'm kind of disappointed in myself. :D

At one time I was a doer. We used to live to ride dirtbikes. Now I'm lucky if I can get in my car without hurting myself.

Oh yeah, remember having to walk, bicycle or taking the bus just to get to work. Some of the new technology is nice that is for sure, but some of it is over-kill. Really don’t want to be nannied by my vehicle, get enough of that from my wife. ;)

Don’t give two shits what people buy, but do find it awfully funny what some of the “needs” are these days from the younger folk. Seems like every generation gets softer than the last, I am not as tough as my dad, or he as his father, on and on…

The prices…good lord. It’s an awful lot for a little truck that can’t do much.

    lol!

Most of the stuff I say is peppered with sarcasm, don’t really care what people do with their money. It is just smack talking, dunno…blame it growing up in the construction industry. All of my buds and co-workers, we talk smack all day long. Kinda over trying to explain it OpeCity…to the point it is not even fun.

lol! I used to be a showboater, that just got me into trouble. :)

    lol!

I still do that! Go to stretch getting out of bed and throw my back out…

A lot of Tacoma owners and people on this forum lift their truck. If you do that after you buy it you’re good to go. If you buy your truck already with a lift (Pro/TH), you’re a poseur.

A lot of Tacoma owners and people on this forum change their wheels for a different look/stance. Do that after you buy and you’re good to go. Buy the truck with more aggressive offset wheels and you’re a poseur.

There are lengthy threads on putting the heritage grille on Tacomas. Put the grille on after you buy and you’re gtg. Buy it with the grille, poseur.

“But I’m just personalizing my truck”. I see way more lifted Tacomas with different wheels and. heritage grille than I see Pros on the road. How unique does that make your truck?

Seems like a double standard to me. I have no “need” for an SR but I don’t hate them. If I needed a work truck, they would be first on my list.

Also, all the money you spend upgrading (lift, wheels, grille), you will get little or none of it back when you sell. For some buyers, the mods are a negative as we have already proven that everyone has different tastes.

The cost of the lift, wheels, and grille on a Pro (and likely TH) will hold their value with the rest of the vehicle. The end cost may not be as different as you think.

You literally spend days on here denigrating others for decisions they make for their own joy.

For someone who claims not to care what other do, You sure care a lot

Probably a Pro. I just want this to be my safe space. I get vary anxious when people say I’m a poseur and just want to showboat.
