    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

Yes, the $100 one gets you in the gate.

The $25 camping pass is if you have a trailer or RV or if you're camping in the designated area.

The gate I'm referring to is not the gate into Hammertown. It is the gate to get in to the overall area of Johnson Valley.

BTW... you're at least smart enough to ask. Seems like it's a Rookie initiation to buy the camping pass and not even need it.

That's what I did last year :anonymous:

Talking to people... a lot of people make that mistake.

That timing should work for me and get us down to the lake bed before it's too late. I sleep in one of those tent cots with a down blanket between the tent and rainfly for insulation. It's nice to have a place to keep your stuff out of the dust/sun during the day.

OnX Offroad seems to have the most accurate weather data for JV. I'm not sure where they source it from.

The general admission ticket will get you into hammer town where all the food and vendors are. The pits are also in hammer town and open to the public, it's fun to see the cars up close and meet the racers. If you just want to watch the race there are several ways to access the lake bed by driving through the desert.

Like someone mentioned above, the $25 camping pass is only for people bringing an RV through the gate at HT. If you're tent camping or staying in a buddies RV you don't need to pay that fee.

I, personally, don't care when we leave, where we go, or when we get there.

I'll be amongst friends on the way, and when we get there... everything else is what it is.

@El Taco Diablo I havent read all the pages. However from the pre meeting so far. Where you have posted to camp might be on the course this year. Otherwise, see ya at some point on the lake bed. Will be Crew again this year.

Nice is that the 12” we got one last year as well but the larger one which is a red bigger to lug around.

I was hoping to go this year but my truck is still waiting for a new rear axle.

yup it’s the 12 inch. I figured the smaller one would be easier to get out to camp and I live alone anyway. I love it, I’ve been eating way too much pizza

nice! yah our pizza intake has def went up. We have the bigger 16" and it gets put to some good use. I have considered getting the smaller one. I have moved the larger one a few times and its a beast to move.

The new radiator still has fluid in it! I think I’m good to go for hammers, I’m just gonna do grease and fluids before we hit the road.
