All kinds of plants... weeds, bull rushes, algae, I'm sure there's more. Fish, mostly large mouth bass, and a few suckers. Not a lot of turtles, but I have seen them in there on occasion. The pond is right beside a creek, so there's some natural back and forth.

If it stays cold for a bit it might be time to break out the ice cream maker. When it’s good ‘n cold I can make 3 batches before it’s gotta get a cold recharge. :stirthepot:

I built dinner tonight, my first time making home made tomato soup.

Turned out pretty good, however I just followed the recipe not realizing how much it made... :anonymous: Guess I'm having soup for lunch tomorrow...

    ...and dinner. ;)

Found out what is wrong with the neighbors mower. Broke push rod.

It still runs, I cranked it o_O

I’m assuming a blown head gasket is how, sounds like an awful exhaust leak. Got a few oil leaks too.

I was going to the bench with it to drain the oil and most of it came out the valve cover area.

    upload_2024-1-15_21-20-35.jpg

And covered my leg and boots.

My helper put some oil dry on it for me.

@koditten how can it run with a broke push rod, head gasket?

I'm thinking the engine already had a place to exhaust the spent fuel...out the bad head gasket.

Most likely it was just running on 1 cylinder. The bad side was just a long for the ride.

Starting fluid works amazing for pulling up stains out of concrete.

Spray it down, give it a good scrubbing then throw an old cotton towel on the mess before the SF evaporates.

It also works on the clothes. I've removed roofing tar by using SF and scrubbing. Repeat the dousing with the SF and the stain is gone.

I rub in the area with Dawn dish detergent afterwards. When wash day comes around, there won't be a set stain.

You will be amazed how good a $3 can of either cleans.

    I don't even look at Brake Clean anymore...and it's a dollar a can more.

I like the smell better than Brake Clean.
