    Ouch.
I bought a Wing Dan Wow winch off Amazon for $285 and used it a hundred times. Same winch as the Badlands for much less. Works like a champ and it's 12,000 lb too and remote control.

Instead of shoveling, I prefer to get plowed.

I know not what you speak of. I don't do well on tests though so perhaps best not try.

When I went outside shoveling snow off the driveway earlier this afternoon it has been snowing for 12 hours and that snow was packed tight and was 6" accumulation

I just got done shoveling the snow the second time and it was easier as it wasn't frozen and maybe 3-4 inches

This was a definite workout for this 62yr old , I'm worn out !!! . We've got another chance of snow on Wednesday thru Thursday

Mom messaged me : city was by to let them know they might lose water for a bit. Frozen main on the cross street. And there was another a block further away when I stopped by on Friday.

Cold weather is taking its toll.
Of course it would help if the city had planned their neighborhood better… water mains are just above the 5’ mark underground. Frost line here is closer to 6’.

People here are amazed when I have to dig up a water line and it's usually somewhere between 18"-24"...maybe 36" but usually not.

Can’t tell you how many times contractors have accidentally cut the mains when they’re digging for other utilities - usually out of state contractors - because they just assume that everything is built to code and is min. 6’ under. They just go gangbusters with the backhoe or ditch witch until there’s water gushing everywhere.

I usually do pretty good. I get paid by the hour...besides, when our CG's were initially built they ran power/water/sewer in the same ditches with not a whole lot of separation and we only kill power when we're working on power. The things I rip the heck out of is old telephone lines. We don't have anymore land lines so it doesn't matter. We even have old phone booths but they're just a stand with the mounts but no phones. On all the dig alerts I've filed the phone companies never respond.

Well that’s not pretty. Looks like it was a product of the second water crossing…
