Lifted '04 Tacoma. Noticed my passenger rear shock blew out its bushing (clunk, clunk, clunk). Time to replace as they are very old. Are 5125s still the way to go? I have Deaver leaf spring pack in the back and Donahoe coil-overs in the front for about 3" lift.

I don't think there is a general "way to go" with shocks. They are kinda purpose built, so it depends what you are doing with your truck. If you are desert running it and taking jumps, then no, 5125's are not the way to go lol.

But for just your everyday use with the occasional bumpy road, yeah they are a decent factory replacement/mild upgrade. Though they don't hold up well in very cold weather. I have oil stains on my garage floor to prove it.

How much rear lift do you have? If it's not a ton then a solid upgrade would be the 5160 if you aren't really high out back.
