    Yes.
Glad you're okay. I can't believe that all the vehicles involved were Toyotas, very odd. The truck definitely looks totaled, it's way twisted...

    The better coast
dang man, one of my roomates was on the free way and got rear-ended by a drunk in his silverado. His truck rolled 9 times and he walked away sore as hell. Im studying physical therapy at fresno right now and all i can say is ice what hurts (no longer then 20 or risk damaging nerves and wrap the ice in a towel to keep it off your skin)and take advil. once the soreness goes away go see a doctor again to make sure the soreness was not covering up anything

    feel better man

If you think you are sore now, wait until tomorrow. That is when it really sets in. Glad you are OK. But I would plan on taking it easy.

Glad you lived, get to the doctor ASAP. I hope no one was seriously injured.

After watching '01-'04 Tacoma's be built from the ground up by our frame guy at the dealer I work at, you're definitely flirting with a total loss there.

You had better hope she is not one of those assholes who just buy the minimum coverage, Like 15/30

There won't be enough to go around for all those who were damaged and /or hurt or claim to be, and it will take years to recover damages IF she has anything. Unfortunately people who buy minimum coverage insurance don;t have much in the way of assets to protect.....

All the lawyers in the world cannot squeeze blood from a rock....This is why I carry 300K worth of Liability for UNDER insured motorists coverage on all my vehicles.

Too many buying the minimum coverages out there.

Sorry to hear this, I cant imagine how you feel about the truck right now. I've had mine for just less than 2 months right now and dont want to think about what you are going through. Deffinately looks totaled to me. Hope it all works out for you.

Wow, 20 years old, what a waste of a young life. And for a young wife to lose her husband, I can't even imagine how hard that is.

I'm so, so glad I was in my truck and not in my wife's little nissan with my kids in the back, that would have been a disaster.

First see the doctor. Document everything, keep every receipt. Every phone call, document name date and time. Keep track of every dime you have to spend due to this. Hopefully you won't need it but insurance companies have a history of sticking it to the innocent party.
Second, that truck looks totaled, frame looks like it going to be tweaked front and back. Problem may be how much Tacoma's are worth, they may want to fix it? Good luck, keep us posted. Again glad your OK and no-one was seriously hurt.

I loved, loved, loved my truck! Had blacked out most of it like I wanted to, 3" lift I installed myself, put the roof rack on. I bought the wheels I wanted, they're still in my garage. I'm glad I hadn't had a chance to get them put on yet though. I had gotten the truck looking the way I wanted and then BOOM! Gotta start over. But I'd rather start over than get this truck repaired.

And I have an 11am appt tomorrow with a lawyer that I've heard good things about.

I must add that I have seen some banged up trucks on the forums and they really seem to protect the driver and passengers.

Count your blessings...you're alive...kids and wife weren't involved...lot to be thankful for here!

You can mod out another truck...but I do feel your pain...sometimes life is that way.

See the lawyer definitely...lot of angles here...and insurance companies are in business to make money...they don't always have your best interest in mind.

MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO SEE YOUR DOCTOR IN A COUPLE OF DAYS...even if you went today. Have them check everything...especially your back and neck...probably x-rays and/or MRI. From the looks of that truck and the eye-witnesses account (airborne all 4 wheels...REALLY?)...you took one helluva hit. Might have damage that you won't feel for months or years...but internal pictures might reveal now. I know because I took a Moose at the roof-line (and subsequently to my forehead back in '06...at my retirement (from Active Duty Air Force in '09) my Doc remarked about the pictures of my neck in my file...said if my neck isn't bothering me much now, it will in the future as I get older.

Just my 2 cents FWIW. Pray all goes well for you and yours.

Yeah, I'm going to predict it's totaled. I was just looking at the first pic and thinking, that could buff out then I remembered, oh yeah, you were hit from behind and scrolled down and DAAAAAYUM!

Glad you are ok, hope all others are ok too. She shouldn't be driving. Whether she was drunk or diabetic, don't care, if she can't safely drive without going into a coma or going into a bar, she shouldn't be driving. My mom was hit in the side by a lady in a diabetic coma, spun my moms car almost 360 degrees and the lady kept going into a stop sign and then into a tree. Both were ok, and she had no memory of the crash. I hope that after 5 or so claims all at once, her insurance will drop her or her license taken away. Driving is a privilege, not a right. Get well, man. You will be sore for a couple days.

That's what he said, I didn't feel I went airborne but it happened so quick. I can imagine with the front end of her car getting under the back of my truck and at a pretty high rate of speed that maybe for a split second it was airborne, but it couldn't have been much, and he did say the rear end was up much higher than the front but that's obviously the way it would happen.

That's good advice to go back and get x-rays and mri's, I'm taking lots of notes to discuss with the lawyer although I'm sure he's got all this stuff down pat.
