1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

@Lfaub03 has an 03 prerunner swapped with manual hubs. He just swapped the valve bodies on an older transmission, detailed in his build thread. I have an 01 with manual hubs, just swapped in a 97 manual j shift trans/tcase. Neither of us bought a parts truck.

Eh might not be the wrong diff/ cvs and shit

 

Believe that could still work. Or resell the hubs/CVs and get manual hubs. The ADD diff will work with manual hubs, just put a hose clamp on to lock the fork into the engaged position

otoh I would guess the wheel hub has to be removed from the spindle

 

Believe you can with the ol nut and impact er home trick with the caliper and rotor off. Not sure if it’ll work with the dust shield on

 

Idk I thought that was a good thread with some nice info. I saw a build thread with a custom 9.5” front end, which made me wonder why Toyota ever got rid of it in the first place.

 

Drive shafts are questionable too...

I think that happens when there are kids involved. I think it's taking too long, waited a month to finalize just for tax reasons. It's a pretty miserable process that the sooner it's done, the better in my book.
