I went to call up Terry the tax man last January and all I got was a answering machine from his wife saying he was deader than 4 o'clock. Yeouch that'll surprise ya.

No snow at my house and the sleet has stopped. The north end of the county had some flurries but it’s pushed out up there too.

No on working at Whiting, I retired from the Sheriff's Office here. I’m guessing you had some time down here?

Not sure the IRS will accept that excuse as to why you didn't file your taxes :boink:

Coworker just told me the sheriff department about 45 minutes away called him last night and said they have his stolen motorcycle but couldn't tell him anything else because their computers were down

You can file for an extension, but if you owe the Gov. any money they are going to penalize you for being late. If you're due a refund, they'll keep the extra interest they earned on your money.

    Late to the party again....

Agree with everyone that it is ultimately your property and your decision. At least by your description she seems nice enough. She may chat with you because she enjoys the interaction with another human being. You could possibly cover the trailer with a camouflaged tarp so it did not look like a trailer. This would protect the trailer and "hide" the trailer in plain sight. I would ask her what she thought of the idea so you did not waste money if it would not be well received. I figure that as far as neighbor's go she is not perfect, could be better but could also be much worse.

We had probably 5”-6” total here. The salt truck came through late morning but didn’t come up the hill so it may be iced in for a while.

    Snow... :(

    KIMG3752.jpg

Fortunately it was very "good" snow, light & dry. I cleaned the daily van off with the leaf blower and got started with the old Ford...

    ... several hours later ...

Well, the Ford decided it wasn't having it. It turns 50 this year so I guess I can see the point - to a point.

It was a fuel issue and I was at the bottom of the driveway - spraying carburetor cleaner (whilst driving, not easy) got back to the garage.

Promptly dropped a brand new can of moly lube and broke the stem.

After some fussin' & cussin' I got whatever stuck the needle valve shut to blow/wash out and then plowed snow for about 90 minutes.

    KIMG3754.jpg

Seeing as it was 19 degrees I was a popsicle by then so I took a luxurious shower...

... and then went down to do the in town sidewalks. I have lived here all my life & hate snow.

We got 6 or so inches of fluffy stuff this afternoon, more coming tonight. I’m going to wait till tomorrow to clean it up so I don’t have to do it twice.

    Good morning everyone :hattip:

Time for minor snow ops, just about 5” up here. I’m learning not to be so picky about it…
