Again with the California hate… you realize it’s this way because people moved here from basically every other state and from around the world? And the people moving away from here are there ones who probably lived here for years and eventually got priced out?

 

My parents lived in Salinas for a couple of years. I was born in PA shortly before they moved to CA for work. Family lived there until I was almost 3 then returned to PA due to family medical situations with both sets of grandparents and never went back to CA. I know my dad wanted to head west again but they never did. I'd like to visit sometime but cost of living and the commute to anywhere you work would not be a good fit for me personally.

 

no offense but its kinda expected at this point most people in other states do not care about cali and the only people that normally do are people in cali. most want to visit but even then thats only for a little bit and then to leave and most likely not come back. i also wouldnt say its because of people moving into that state ive known lots of people who have just lived in cali the entire time they have been alive and again no offense but they have always been the most difficult to deal with. not saying you are you seem to be in the minority of that one thankfully

Ive been in VA all of my 36 years lol. I like the hot weather. Spring and Fall are ok too, but winter is the worst. Ive been so bored since mid-November. Stuck inside. I guess one thing was good, no projects, so my credit card has been taking a small break.

Wish I could live somewhere else. Ill be moving in 5 years. Not sure if it will be to another part of VA or a surrounding state. But it wont be CA.

I need more room for activities. I need more than 20x10 for a garage, need something like 80x80 hah.
I have definitely outgrown my house.

 

Ok but I’m not coming in here shitting on where you live is my point.

 

I’m into RC so even if I couldn’t ride the projects and spending wouldn’t stop haha

I have a list of all my mods and costs, but I refuse to add them up lol

doing great. I always forget to snap any pics but took a couple nice rides this weekend. San Clemente Cars and Coffee Saturday followed by a mountain ride to get some delicious apple pie, then another ride Monday morning through the canyons.

I always say California (specifically Southern) is the best place to live...if you can afford it comfortably. There is good and bad like all states, people just like to shit-talk California because of the hive-mind mentality. when it's 49 vs 1, the choice is obvious if you don't have skin in the game lol.

Expected, sure, still lame to be dragged at every opportunity lol. We're all Americans here. Your first two statements could be applied to many states, and some don't even merit a vacation to most people.

There's 2 types of people who leave CA. old people who got priced out, and transplants who couldn't hack it.

Anyways hope you guys all had a great holiday and will be back to riding soon if you haven't been getting out there/able to get out there.

eh i guess ya but im use to it from people in cali thinking they are the shit in the world and drag others in the mud so eh. but agreed the first two can be said about any state all states have a positive and negative. just cali alone (to me) has loads of negatives to where even visiting i dont want to...

Yeah I feel that, definitely some CA people who think their shit don't stink. But hate for CA seems to be on a whole other level. Never seen people suggest glassing an entire state, or hoping an earthquake breaks off the state to let its inhabitants float away in the ocean, or to build a wall around it and lock everyone in with the homeless and illegals, except when it comes to CA lol. next closest state I've seen would be Florida but even they get more love lol. A state, mind you that has 10% of the US population, is 3rd for land mass, and has a higher GDP than most of the world.

No need to debate ad nasuem though, just putting my perspective out there. People will have their opinions, and ultimately it doesn't matter to me. I get to ride year round, can hit the snow and beach in the same day, and still get to own guns even if mag limits suck lol. You win some you lose some, whichever state you live in.

 

The irony being that only the people outside of California in this thread are the ones dragging CA through the mud.

ya i dont really get it tbh? no idea why some cali people think they are the best thing ever and others are less but eh that might have to do with my generation and ones younger then me (30 and below). ive had a lot of issues with people my age and younger so anytime someone says they are from cali in a friend group its a red flag to be cautious around them or flat out avoid them. thankfully the ones we have in here are older then me and chill lol.

ya i think that just became a meme because of the issues with the state tbh on the outside looking in it looks like well hell to a lot of us or its the cause of issues of something or the other that someone gets upset about so then those memes become a thing. florida thou we keep them for entertainment! i mean come on Florida man is the best lmao
