auto trans feels like it pops into neutral

This has happened twice will accelerating onto the highway. Will get into 3rd gear and it feels like the shifter pops into neutral and the engine will jump to 5k rpm will coast 1/4 mile and it seems like it figures itself out. The shifter remains in drive the whole time. Then today it did it while maintaining freeway speeds but it didn't seem to be for as long, maybe a second.

 

Solenoids may be on their way out. Only happens from 2nd->3rd though?

 

It has already completed the shift and it has happened in 3rd gear and overdrive I believe maybe 4 gear too. Feels almost like it's downshifting to 2nd.

 

Did your inspection of the shifter linkage and the pressure cable running from the throttle body show anything unusual? I ask assuming you have an A340E or F trans.

 

Nothing bent or touching. IDK kinda out of ideas besides bad trans.
