Need to change the ATF

    TRD S/C 3" sky jacker suspension lift,33" kumho road venture mt kl71's 16" 320c pacer wheels,billet grill,EBC slotted and dimpled rotors,super 44 muffler with gutted cat,smoked l.e.d. tail lights, deck plate mod with K&N filter,fog/blinker mod,cobra cb with 4' firestick antenna/100W PA,clear corners with l.e.d bulbs,55w back up lights,urd O2 sim., blue l.e.d bulbs behind gauge cluster.
    my ATF is black and has a burnt smell and its safe to say its never been changed ive had the truck for 50k and never thought to check it but i looked the other day when i changed the oil and it looks bad. should i change it myself or have a shop do it?

    getting there....
    you could get it flushed...depending on mileage. otherwise.......do a few drain and fills(4 quarts each time) and it'll get new fluid in there. not a bad idea to pull the pan and clean the magnets and the filter screen tho.

    PIAA lights, OMD leaf spring mod, magna flow muffler, oil filter relocation kit
    Possibility that your transmission is on it's last leg. You might want to get your transmission checked out, before you worry about changing the ATF, good possibility you might need a new transmission.

    in that case........no flush. drain and fills may be ok for it....but if its been in there for 60k miles or so...may just wanna leave it alone.
