I like the looks and interior of the z71 and AT4 better than the taco..but I just can't get past the problems they are having and the resale.

Oh me me! Drove a AT4 with premium package. Great power, way more leg room than Tacoma surprisingly. Want to drive a ZR2. I’m seeing more and more discounts on ZR2’s, local dealer has $1,500 off MSRP on a 23.
Want to drive a Tacoma though before any decisions. Although V6 Ranger could be fun.

Roll outs were slow early on. Like this 24 Tacoma. Better now I heard. They are pretty good with the fullsizes. Think I would at least a year for the dust to settle on the Taco.

    Ha!

Only seen them on the road, very good looking truck. Haven’t swung by a dealer yet to check them out in person. No 6’ bed is a deal killer. Would consider a Silverado though.

Thanks, I think I'll hang on to my '20manual sport AC a while longer, maybe I'll get to the point I won't need to be able to mount a plow, and I know that caps will not be interchangable.

Nope. It's all about the V8 for us.

However, I must confess I am looking at an older GX I can put a lift and aggressive tires on. Then I can park it with one tire on the curb at the mall to show off my articulation. I have a project Camaro I would sell to fund the GX.

Were you allowed to keep the mullet and jorts when you bought the Lexus?
Took the restrictor plate off to give the Red Dragon a little more juice. But it's not exactly street legal, so keep it on the down low.

Lol. I actually did buy a mullet wig and a Freebird CD when I first bought the Camaro. Turns out the wig was very uncomfortable, but the Freebird CD rocked.

The Camaro is a 2001 SS with leather seats, T-tops, 330 hp LS1 V8, that my SIL bought new. It has 82k original miles on it and is completely stock. I bought it from her for $3500 and put about another $1200 in parts in it. I still enjoyed tinkering on cars so I did all the labor. It runs great and is fun to drive, but with my health issues it's hard for me to get in and out of.

The main reason I bought it was because I figured it would be the last V8 I would ever own. Enter the GX x 2 and I have the V8 thing covered now.

It’s crazy how back in 2001 330 HP was considered a lot. Now it’s only a little bit more than a Chevy Colorado.

Yeah, 330 hp in 2001 was a lot. The SS got the same LS1 that came in the Corvette. Now a V6 Camry would smoke it.

A Camaro of that era probably does 0-60 in the low 5 second range and a V6 Camry was probably around 6 seconds, but good point anyway.

    Looked it up:
    0-60 : 5.6 sec
    1/4 mile: 13.8 sec

Already mid January and still haven’t seen one on the road yet. What’s the ETA at this point?
