Down by the 8 there is a small town of ocotillo. That is where all the windmills are. There is some BLM over there. I've only really been by there once.

Either way I was thinking ocotillo wells. We can get a small group together and make it a day.

Ahhh okay, that makes sense. I might have been over there once with @sladesdaddy years ago when we blasted through plaster city.

Hell yea let’s get a group together and make a day out of it! :bananadance:

Spent this last weekend out there, and the wind came through at night the second the sun went down, bring some goggles! We ended up sheltering in sandstone canyon / fish creek. It was also pretty smoky, apparently there was a fire near Ocotillo.

I'd rather go play in the dunes up in the mountain. We never go do that and its such a waste. Like why go to Super if we're just going to leave and go to Ocotillo? There's plenty of ways for the 2wd's to do this too, as proven by stuck prone Dan on New Years. Dude got to the top of Super surprisingly easily
Go fast with me in the dunes? :boink:

If the sand hill is giving me too many issues, I was thinking of checking out the area just north of the mountain. 194, 195,319. Looks like a bunch of washes that flow to the salton sea. I thought the whole area was bombing range, but a bit further north it goes back to BLM.
