It will be easy to mod in detail, the headlights come off separate from the body, just need some accurate taping of the tail lights. Don’t ask me how I know.

 

This is a Hot Wheels Morris Minor Gasser William63 sent me. Quite a bit of work went into this one to make everything fit. The tires are from a Muscle Machine and rear wheel wells had to be grinded out for clearance. I tinted the Woody trim with brown inserts and painted the tan chutes silver. It is so compact it was a bare to get everything to snap back together when done.

Snagged this for $10 at an antique store, just as nice as any th. He has a bunch for a good price.

 

If you put paint stripper on the body to get the black SS stripes off, will it come off? I’m assuming it will buy just wanted to ask.

 

I would strip the whole car if you’re going to paint it and get a pry tool or a razor blade and remove the paint in the door jams and hood and trunk gaps. Use a glass spaghetti jar with stripper and let it sit a day or 2. If you have a super fine grinder it will take off paint quickly too

Just saw this thread!! Brought a smile to my face. I grew up collecting hot wheels with my dad and brother as I know most of us have. Once I got older then it trickled into racing nitro powered RC cars semi professionally across America through my early/mid teens. As I grew into adulthood my focus was drawn to other priorities, lol such as “work”. I am now in my 30’s and full circle am now back into collecting hot wheels through my amazing little nephew. I started collecting myself about a month ago now and this is what I have so far. Really just enjoy the “hunt” and looking for what catches my eyes and heart. Got a soft spot for American Muscle and JDM styled. I appreciate anything though when it comes to style! One day my nephew will inherit these as well, for now though they are all mine lol, just to look at and admire. Totally dig how only a few bucks here and there can contribute to so many smiles!

Greatly appreciate the warm welcome! Getting up to par with my HW knowledge and what to look out for. Believe it or not, I am just learning what “Treasure Hunts” and “Super Treasure Hunts” are. Stoked for future finds! I’ve got my local 10ish spots I hit up between my drive home from work and days off running errands. Always something to look forward to, even if it’s shopping with the lady, She already knows I just Bee line straight to the HW!!! Grew up a gear head and plan on not letting that change no matter the age.

LOL, That's exactly how my collection started. Every time when I was out with my wife and she gets a $5 Starbucks coffee, I would go get a $1 HW or Matchbox truck instead. On the way home I would ask her where her coffee is, upon which she would reply that it was done and cup thrown away, and I would smile and show her that I still have my HW!
