New Years is always funny. Like last year when someone celebrated from their car with a handgun into the air.

Holster question. Is one type of material more "forgiving" on the blueing of your pistol? Is nylon gentler then Kydex or leather. I've always used nylon holsters and I'm thinking about getting a high quality Kydex holster.KYDEX.jpg

If you draw enough, it kydex will wear finish where it has passive retention. Over a significant amount of time. A less than a year for me usually, but it could be a few years for others. Not all manufacture finishes are equal.

Put my Swampfox Liberty II on the VP9SK and sighted it in. First three in the bullseye were from about 10 yrds away. The other three above the bullseye (had the target upside down) were from 20, both off a rest. So I know the setup is relatively accurate. Now to find out if I am off hand.

Ok to answer your question nylon is softer than both leather and kydex. But leather is not going to wear out like nylon, and has been used as a sheath for thousands of years, hundreds of years for firearms. Kydex is stiff to hold in place.
I use leather as it's stiff at first and wears in. As long as you take care of it it's going to last a long time.
You will spend lots of time and money finding the right leather holster that works for you. Best thing to do is research on how you want and feel better positioned carry for you.
Me been thinking about apex carry but I'm a bigger guy than I want to be so that's out for me.
I carry right side IWB 3 o'clock and 5 o'clock depending on what I'm wearing and where I'm going. What ever you do with a leather holster go with a quality holster maker.
I love my Wrights Leatherworks Banshee IWB.

Can't like this, but if you're practicing than it should be expected if you draw a lot.

Anyone looking for a Kel-Tec SUB 2000 You need to check out the gen 3 version with the rotating barrel.
I had my hands on one yesterday and it was nice. If I didn’t already have my Gen 2 set up the way I want it I would get one.

I'm glad "Big Tech" has no interest in this business.

I hope Glock continues on their path of providing reliable/quality pistols, without the need to offer every type of firearm under the sun.

Kinda interesting... Like a carry a .357 mag so it doesn't matter to me, but my mother has a 22 mag so if they have these in that, it would be a massive improvement... Well massive is probably a bit of a reach for any rim fire 22 but, you know what I mean

I wonder how those compare to Federal's Punch ammo?

Exactly the opposite according to 22plinkster. He said if he was going to carry 22 for SD he would likely stagger UC, punch,UC etc for expansion and penetration. Still ~10" in calibrated gel and opening up to what looks like near double caliber, ain't bad for what it is

Just got some of my SHOT Show pictures edited. I will say PSA killed it. I loved the .308 JAKL and the 570 Shotgun concepts. The Sabre line of Daggers looks cool AF too. 10mm Dagger would also be sick.
