ah unfortunately not, I do have the YZ250F which I may turn into one down the line but currently it's still on dirt tires. Street legality also raises an issue lol.

Sumo is getting more and more enticing by the day though...4th bike? lol

I refuse to put a set of street rims/tires on my CA street Plated 2014 WR450F - yes CA plated - for fear of the absolute chaos I would cause around town on such a hoon machine. The docile XT225 already gets me in trouble with 50/50 tires, something about a dirtbike on the street opens up SO many new riding spots, jumps, trails, etc haha.

Yeah street tires would just be encouragement to break more laws as well. I already see so many opportunities in my day to day riding lol. And I know cops around my area aren't to strict on street-ridden dirtbikes being plated if they don't see you stunting or jumping, lot of guys in my area are ripping 2 strokes on the streets

yeah that was just a supermoto class unfortunately haha. definitely gave me the bug though...

I gotta say I'd love to re run some of the stuff @MattiveAmerican and @Chux and I rode but on adventure bikes. We saw some similar washouts too.

I've always said street tires on a dirtbike is the most fun you can have on two wheels. This is my second 450X, they're so impractical but man it's worth it

Yeah pretty much everyone rocking a bike that isn't factory plated is either rocking a vin swap, AZ or South Dakota plate.... None of which are remotely legal if and when you get pulled over.

My wr450f on the other hand has gone through the DMV and CHP process to be titled as a highway legal vehicle and have the pink slip with matching vin/engine Numbers. It was a process n a half... But saved multiple grand vs buying a plated KTM

Speaking of supermoto. Y'all ever seen this stuff. Paved jumps and birms, looks wildly fun!

Supermoto is so fun! Wish I still had my setup. Did some amateur racing years ago. Wish we had some tracks like that around here. The tracks I rode were paved and then had a dirt section with berms and jumps

Hand guards from an xr150L got here yesterday, they look like they'll fit the Grom perfectly. Hopefully installed/filmed this weekend and then weather is looking like I *might* be able to ride Monday and Tuesday of next week. Woo!

Oh these guys in my area are just riding non-plated bikes around town lol. Cops don't really care as long as you aren't wheelie'ing, jumping or revving them out obnoxiously. Or riding them at night, obviously.

Yeah I considered the out of state plating thing, but it really only seems to save you for the first pullover, MAYBE, then you have to transfer title to CA. Luckily in 2025 the whole red sticker bs will no longer be a thing and I'll be able to ride the YZ year round on trails

They don't run supermoto anymore, haven't for probably 10+ years or so, major bummer. I was having to drive 3+ hours to ride. They used to have some up in Abbotsford, BC too. Used to run my CRF450 and WR450

What year wr450 did you run? And how'd it treat you?

    I have a 2014 WR450 with 170 flawless hours on it.
