Here’s a story on my trip to Hartford when I was younger:

I worked, for the summer, for William Sanders, a high end auto accessories supplier back in the 80’s. I packed, shipped, and delivered stuff like BBS wheels, Momo steering wheels, etc… So I had to make a delivery of multiple sets of wheels to a store on Albany Ave in Hartford. I was given explicit instructions to go past the store, turn around and pull up on the sidewalk and honk the horn. The store owner would meet me. He had to pay for the wheels and then I could unload them over the threshold. So I do what they told me, get there, honk, and the owner comes out, looks around, and holds the door open for me to place the wheels inside. He has a stainless 1911 in his waist. So I figured he’d give me a check. Oh no, a bag full of cash - 10’s & 20’s. Each wheel was over 3k… I dropped off 12. I got out of there as fast as I could hoping no one was following me. Uneasy feeling having close to 40k on me in small bills of what had to be drug money in one of the worst sections of the city (there really aren’t any good ones).

 

I have so many words…But, it looks as good as his winch.

 

Sheese…Sometimes I look back at some of the stuff I did when I was younger and shudder…like renting a studio apartment that was actually a converted glass gazebo in Alhambra CA. It backed up to a block wall. On the other side was a gas station that was known to be a haven for drugs, gangs, and drive by’s.

 

I tried to braize it.

And shut up

 

The damage is a known thing on these trucks, even stock. But when you offroad like it do, it gets really bad.

Nope.
And I have never seen one cracked.
