I worked for fedex for awhile. They used to be good & now are the worst one to use.

Some fedex drivers actually own their trucks. Esp with ground shipping. One guy went on vacation & the manager let another guy use his truck without his permission. Sure enough that asshole wrecked the truck. When the guy got back from vacation no one told him it was wrecked & he went off. I thought he was going to kill us all, dude ended his contract with FedEx & lawyered up. That was one of the worse managers I have ever worked for. He didn’t give a shit about that guys truck or any other employee

Clearing a path to your doorstep also goes a long way with deliveries. Those guys are walking through snow all day in current conditions. Kind of a shitty situation all around in my opinion.

Edit: I also realize this isn't your video. Just speaking in general. I suck from the Amazon teet and those guys are at my house constantly. I make an effort to clear the way for em, and they thank me in person everytime I catch them. My packages are also nicely laid up against my door because of it.

Had similar lack of attention/customer service by FedEx last time I ordered tires. Ordered from DT - 4 top of the line all season tires for my Gen3. Got a tracking notice from seller (DT) and carrier - FedEx. Tires made it to Denver in two days - a week later they had not been delivered and the update showed nothing. I contacted FedEx and they said they were "lost." I took that to the TW DT contact and they began to look into the situation. Two days later DT said that FedEx had them in a back corner of their local distribution location. I got the tires the first thing the next day. To this day I suspect someone at FedEx wanted the tires and buried them in a corner for their taking all along knowing DT would send replacements if the original order never found its way to me. To this day I don't trust either of the two prominent delivery carriers in this Country.

Fortunately I haven't had to order anything sent by FedEx larger than a small box for dog food.. Last large item was the bumper for the Hilux that showed up bent to shit with yellow scuffs from a forklift. They also left the windshield to my gator at the top of the driveway a few summers ago, luckily no one jacked it

This was the second time I have ordered from Tire Rack. Previous order was back in 2003 and all four mounted tires were delivered by FedEx without incident.

With regards to the recent order there are no issues with Tire Rack. Before charging my card a rep from Tire Rack called to confirm the tire size.

Tire Rack Customer Service is following the progress of the delivery; which is scheduled for today.

I deal with that shipping bullshit every day.
Currently have a package that arrived in California last Friday.
Sat for 3 days of course. Fuck the holidays.
Yesterday it was in Nevada, and today it's in Grand Prairie Texas waiting to be handed over to USPS, so it can be brought back thru Colorado. I won't see it until next week.
Prolly drove the fuckin thing right by my house on it's way to Texas.

We ordered something and had it shipped to a UPS access point near us, literally a UPS Store. UPS noted that the store rejected it and it was redirected to another access point about one half mile away. The issue is that that store is only open from 11:00 to 4:00 or something, after the normal drop off time for the route.

Our package bounced between “out for delivery” to “unable to deliver” for almost a week. It took 3 or 4 phone calls to get the package redirected to our house.

Wife sent Xmas package to sister in Houston via USPS. Made it to North Houston in two days. Sat at main hub for 7 days then went to suburb hub where it sat 4 more days. Only took two weeks to make it to their mailbox. According to USPS they are updating their systems in Houston and running into problems. Went live with no testing or training. Government at its best!

In a strange turn of events, I am subcontracting my former employer to do a job for me, for a customer that already has an account with them, but doesn't want to deal with them.
This might be a total shitshow.

I bought four SR SX wheels (with center caps) tonight from a local guy. Now to get some 235/85r16’s Toyo AT3’s and it’ll be closer to done.

I love when I hear that someone is getting pizza cutters instead of heavy and oversized 285s “for their build”.

I’m not a fan of big, heavy tires. I had some GY MT/R’s on my Wrangler and they were good off road but heavy on the road. Definitely not a ”build” for the Tacoma. Wheels, tires, sliders and a winch. Maybe a Softopper.
