Just bought a 2005 Trd off-road with a decent bit of mods, Toyota replaced the frame, it has some ome parts, lift kit from them as well as some other stuff, has an arb bumper, some nice fog lights and a light bar… now I want to make this thing as versatile as possible for hunting, camping, and maybe figure out a good way to haul a kayak for duck hunting… let me know where to look for roof racks/bed racks, and any other mods I should look into

    Welcome to TW!

I'd start with changing the anti-freeze and spark plugs, and while the the plugs are scope the cylinders. (For carbon deposits).
You don't want any detonation or preignition. That is hard on the head gaskets.
You need to take care of those head gaskets. Unless they have been replaced, you're on borrowed time.
The 05 trucks had a design flaw in the head gaskets. It was updated late year of 06'

Don't mean to scare you, but do all you can to help the engine out.

    Welcome to TW!

Sherpa makes the thickest strongest rack. I don’t know how necessary that is.

because other thinner racks like CaliRaised have feature(s) that unfortunately the Sherpa Grand Teton does not have, like a fold down anti wind noise lightbar panel that hopefully acts as a glare shield.

no idea if light bars actually have a purpose, considering it’s thin and the hood glare they tend to have.

Vs simply 2 driving beam pods on the bumper.

rack in the back is gonna depend on what you’re running on the bed. Many options out there.

A very small percentage of the 05-06 Tacomas have head gasket problems. There are just as many, or more that go well over 200K miles but don't get much play here.
Like any other aluminum engine, don't overheat it. I wouldn't tow with a 2005 Tacoma, but that goes for pretty much all Tacomas as far as I'm concerned. Regular maintenance, 5K mile oil changes, drive sensibly(good idea anyway) and let the chips fall where they may.

x2. HG issues have occurred on all year models. Some blame the yr models instead of lack of maintenance.
