It took me driving mine over 100 miles or so before the rears "adjusted" better.
I had a hell of a time getting my parking brake adjusted the last time. But that was a whole experience in itself.
Lesson learned: Don't use aftermarket brake hardware.

I had an aftermarket caliper seize up on me once; NEVER AGAIN!

I snipped the line and line there was no refrigerant in it whatsoever, which makes it obvious why it was being thrown out, but how did it leak and nobody noticed?

It was the spring kit in my case.

I got free brake shoes and wheel cylinders out of this who fiasco, genuine Toyota parts covered for a year by Toyota and an addition year by the dealer.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
R290 is propane without the smell added, it's possible R600a also has no smell added

Nice. I'd ONLY recommend the OE cylinders.

I've seen R-22, R134a, and R410a get released. CFC refrigerants seem to produce a white cloud, whereas the newer CFC-free refrigerants produce a less noticeable mist/smoke...

The only non-OE items in my truck besides the stereo system and backup camera would be the bumper, headlights, and taillights; I insisted on an OE radiator last March...

Everything I did myself has been non-OEM.
    But I did my research.

Brake shoes and pads are not OEM.
    Serpentine Belt is not OEM
    Wheel bearings are not OEM.

Other than that, I'm all original.
I got more experience working on Chevys and Fords than I do my own Tacoma.
Mostly because they have "broken" before my Tacoma has......
But everything breaks, It's just a matter of time before I'm wrenching on mine.

I put remanufactured Carquest calipers on the front of my Tacoma because the seals were cracked on the original ones and I figured it was the easiest solution.

5 Years on the originals and they never rusted, 5 weeks on the new ones and they were really rusty. I don't think I made it a year before one was sticking.

We got talked into doing those on Cupcake's 2005 Rav4 when the rears needed done. 3 goddamn times the same reman'd caliper fucked up in the next few years. Never.

If and when that needs doing again I'll buy OEM.

I think all your brake issues jinxed my truck lol. Was driving down the highway today and the TPMS light started flashing for a couple minutes then went solid and all the pressures disappeared from the screen. Stayed that way for 3 or 4 hours before going out and returning to normal, when it warms up again l will have to try to diagnose what happened.

I had similar weird behavior once in my old car. One single spot on a specific highway, multiple occasions. It was like being in the twilight zone. I thought cars were supposed to make sense!

Don't feel bad about hitting that curb Charlie.
I hit a big ass pothole, and I swear the left side of the truck launched 1' off the ground.
I don't how it did not bust a tire. The alignment may be off a little now.
The ball joints and control arms took a BEATING.

They need to fix that one, Won't be long before it eats a car, seriously.

I found a 2018 Tundra with like 87K miles for just over $25K. The truck looks immaculate and has the safety features my parents are so big on me getting; @ColoradoTJ approves!

Looks nice but that fuel mileage would get old for me pretty quick. Big reason I went to a Tacoma. Be great if you tow though.
