Falken Wildpeak A/T4W | NOW Available at DTC

The Falken Wildpeak A/T4W is here at last and the new A/T4W is shaping up to outshine its immensely popular A/T3W in every respect. This includes tread depth, weather protection, and on-and off-road performance.

Previously only available on the Wildpeak R/T and Wildpeak M/T, Falken has introduced their three-ply DURASPEC technology into the A/T4W (available on select sizes). This construction is stiffer and thicker compared to it's 2-ply counterpart, to endure harsh off-road conditions. No matter the terrain, from smooth highways to rough paths, this all-terrain tire will keep you safe and secure. The three-peak mountain snowflake weather indication and weather-focused tread composition and pattern give it the ability to tackle almost any weather condition.

I just installed new at3w yesterday . I wasn't even told about these

 

i was about to order at3s for my wifes 4runner since i have them on my tacoma but now with this I going to switch to the at4s

Falken tires finally listened to us! A 255 85 16 in a c load range all terrain tire. For us who are die hard 16 inch wheels this I a very big deal.

@banditcamp you said it, there have been more inquires to that specific tire than any other. The lower load range will do well on the Tacoma pickups.

Absolutely, but they should be more forgiving in the bumps.

 

i hope the sidewall design has been improved. the A/T3W sidewall sucked in my opinion.

 

The Falken A/TW4 now has 3-ply DURASPEC Sidewall Technology (in select sizes) and stands to be more durable for off road situations.

Yeah that's kind of crazy. My current mickey thompson baja legend is 56 pounds in a 285. I guess it's that super tough side wall.

If I wasn’t planning on a 24/25 Tacoma I might try and get a set of these to replace my cooper st Maxx that are not holding up well after a few years and 25k miles.

I just called and the return will set me back $145,51 to return all 4, basically I have to pay for mounting the new tires.
Bummer..... I think the policy is great but is it worth it ???? wondering if its only marketing

 

I kinda expected to pay for the install, not something they can really undo since they pay their techs with that I believe. I’m just gonna stick with what’s tried and true.

 

I've been doing some side to side comparison and the ATW4 has a much aggressive sidewall (Me likey) and "apparently" a better ride, better performance on wet surface and 5.000 miles more warranty (Whatever that means) also it's a 3 ply tire.
Perhaps the OP has some better options since he is the one that brought this up and created this dilemma .
(Now days it's the norm to blame everybody else for our mistakes )

 

My Tacomas tires are still in pretty good shape. My ram needs new tires. When will the 295/65/20’s be available?

 

Can’t express how happy this makes me. My MTs are nice but just so loud. Loved my ATW3 prior and my muds are getting low.
