I miss pbb circa 2002. More tech, less unhinged.

It still blows my mind how accurate the “diesel trucks - ricers of the future” thread was

And some of the crazy shit people built.

I have found that the diesel experience is one that I struggle with. The noises they make, I'm like, that sounds broken. But it seems normal? In the cold I got a tick that seems new, possible exhaust leak, but damn do they overall sound broken on cold starts.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
I mean their whole design is basically knock. They're just built to withstand not doing anything optimally. The new ones however are actually pretty optimal. They don't even make scary knocking noises in cold starts anymore

Definitely CV outer failure is most common, I would say nobody maintains their grease very well... but I always be packin a spare CV.

I'll have to see if I have any old ADD tubes with this "failure", the clicking (I think) is the collar on the ADD stub shaft having wear, I remember the first time this happened I was convinced I blew the diff, tore it apart to find no issues lol.

I'm pretty convinced its the wear in the collar in the

:stirthepot: it could be the T-case chain skipping teeth
thats awesome! thanks so much for the tag and the data dude!!

I haven't done anything that thin. Working in 10ga right now.

3/8" 304 for header flanges is mostly where I'm at and I have not tuned the settings enough on that at all!!

Be curious to see your results on 3/8"

Most I'll do on the 12 gauge I've got are bottle openers, and really that'd be after I dial my settings some

Just want to fill in more data in my personal cut sheet; here's book settings for mild

    20240114_212234.jpg

And my settings for mild dialed in

    20240114_212205.jpg

Been too lazy to add my 1/4" settings as I've been using my settings from my other torch with great results; just haven't confirmed it with test pieces yet
