What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I had one when I moved to AZ. It attached by sucker-pad, but was literally baked off the window within months under the sun. The NextBase appealed to me as a replacement primarily because the base attaches to the window with a sticky-pad and the unit removes from the base to allow putting up a reflector screen. It just turned out to be capable of 4k.

No, you ca wire it up to a random button that came in the wiring harness. Do whatever you want. I am looking at buying the Auxbeam switch pannel

 

I have an auxbeam in my ram. They make stuff a lot cleaner and easy to wire. But I wish they would change there fuse panel up. It’s so bulky

 

Rav-4 knobs came today, I’m wondering what else one could rob from other Toyota's for simple mods? I like keeping it in the family.

 

Been wanting to do this. The stock Tacoma knobs are horrible.

Seriously my favorite and most useful mod.

 

Used a rav-4 emblem on my Camry and the Corolla se for the rear and used touch up paint to color match. Thought about using the SR letters from the 90’s 4 runner SR5 emblem on my 3rd gen

New Denso iridium spark plugs installed today in the V6 engine at 70K/52 mos. Read that it was recommended at 60K for the engine. However, the removed spark plugs didn't look too bad when replaced. Probably could have waited until 90K.

 

if they are too hard to remove the thieves might damage the hood, fenders, windshield trying to get them off

 

So the last couple days I added a digital mirror that has a front and rear dash cam as well as parking mode. It records 4k in the front with audio and 2.5k in the rear. Camera angles are adjustable and the rear camera can zoom which is nice. It brings up rear camera when shifted to reverse as it normally would and its mounted to my bed rack so it doesnt get covered by snow and dirt so i shouldnt have to wipe it off before every drive in winter now. I wired it into the factory wiring for the stock rearview mirror for a clean and simple wire setup. The quality is great and the parking mode records in time-lapse up to 48hrs. Tested it last night and it recorded all night in 5° weather without draining the battery or filling the SD card and the remote start still worked fine this morning. I added a wireless android auto adapter as well which also gives me the ability to stream on the headunit and use the touchscreen itself . I know alot of folks on here don't care for that but I enjoy being able to watch Netflix or put something on for my kid while waiting on the other half to do her thing at different places. Very happy with the outcome of both mods as it really makes the drive more enjoyable for me. Of course these gifs don't show the full quality but this threads about the pictures and quality content not video quality.

 

Tried installing alpharex headlights. Going to take this POS off.
