:notsure: Might be fun. Might be junk. Think it is the only area I haven't done yet. Still planning to stay south of hwy 78. The idea is to stay out of military only area.

I'm leaning towards probably junk. A lot of that area is uneven and rough in my experience. 196, 336, and the part of 332 I was on weren't great. 191 Pole line was ok but had some nasty transitions come out of no where

I have always been curious about Carrizo wash. We're always right there when we go to the tracks

Weather is looking pretty decent. Might get a few drops Saturday night. Wind to pick up Sunday.

Well shit, we're going to have to bail. We've got way too much shit going on around here to leave for four days (lots of animals). Looks like SanG is the next SoCal event for us unless my wife gets a boondoggle to San Diego. You kids enjoy, I'll be watching the thread for sure.

Right by the train tracks. Might fuel up and head down the camp later.

I haven’t been in a few years - what a good “last” gas station to hit before heading into the dirt ?

Depends your route. If you come around from the south on the 8 then the city of Ocotillo. If you come from the north then Julian on the 78. On the east side is methville Salton Sea or further south Westmorland. No matter what you’ll probably use 1/8 - 1/4 getting from the station to camp.

if you’re coming the 8, I always stop at Golden Acorn casino. They have the cheapest gas of anywhere I know
