LED Lighting Strips (Interior/Exterior)

Looks good man. Can they be set up for dimming?

 

Sorry for the confusion, the bars can be connected without a break directly. The 1' are for spacing them apart or if you are turning the next bar to a different angle.

My flex strip will come with a connector built in but I'm still trying to get a 12v/Ground connector from my uncle's contact. If all else fails then you would just need to cut off the male head and use the wires that are already built in.

I will ask my uncle for a picture. The have a male head on a wire and a female head on a wire on either side. you can connect multiple flex strips using these wires with some space in between. They are not fragile, if you use heat shrinks, wires should not be exposed.

 

I know if you get the box that changes the colors of the strip it can be dimmed, I am still trying to figure out how to dim it without the box

No... Still waiting on the RGB.. but i'll tell you..

2 Rigid for under the hood so those will be daisy chained together. Then 1 rigid in my tool box by itself.

The 3 Rigid RGB's will be in my cab for no apparent reason or i might use them in my house or in a beer pong table.... Still not sure.

Make it 2 pairs (4 bars) of rigid cool white with the 1' connector for the daisy chain and the 12v/ground connector for both pairs (so 2 of each of those connectors)

Then just 3 flexible RGB strips and if you can find out about that controller that would be great!

Interchange the switch source with load and extend the ground wire to a hood pin switch.
It'll be off while hood is closed and lit when you open hood, easy to find in darkness...

BTW that's not a long lasting outdoor switch...

 

What switch would you recommend for this application?
