    Yeah.
At least here, I can get OEM Toyota oil filters at Walmart as well. Full disclosure, I am a bit biased and saddened when I hear that someone despises Walmart, but I also know that they are not all the same (there are some that even I would probably avoid).

I recently did the first oil change on the RAV4 Hybrid we got for my daughter. Unfortunately Supertech doesn't seem to come in the 0W-16 weight that it calls for, BUT the RAV4 uses the old style of oil filter instead of the cartridge, so there's that.

Dang it, got fished in to another oil thread.

I’ve always seen the dipstick for what it is: a crude measuring device. I put the recommended 6.2 quarts every time. It’s always above the line and drives fine. These things were designed to work with one quart high or low. Heck mine was slightly above the line right off the dealer lot.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
LOL, perhaps if they did not expect me to run the register, treat me like a thief when I exit the store and had a single employee that seemed to give a fuck if and when asked a question I would not despise the experience of entering a WM so much. 10 years ago I was at WM a few times a week. Now it seems they dislike me as much or more than I do them.
Not to mention that the aisles are packed with pallets and nothing is organized anymore. Aisles are packed with employees shopping for online orders and seem to have a distain that you are in the store at all. WM is looking more and more like what K-Mart did in the final years they existed.

Well, the next morning after bringing home my new 23 SR5 that night, the dipstick shows 1/2 inch above the full mark. I’d say it’s normal.

    Work in progress...
I always put 6 quarts back in. Costco sells their oil in 6 quart cases.

That's a Ford 6.7 powerstroke. Them babies can run on zero oil, but they will blow out the entire fuel injection system ($10k+) without hesitation.

And for all the guys that are reading over the full mark...flip the dipstick over when reading. It gives you a different reading. :stirthepot:

    Im with ya….100%
Everyone is treated poorly, the business model is near criminal. Walmart caters to the poor, gets them dependent, kills the competition and controls the consumer.

I have no use for the ghetto place…..and I’ve lived in quite a few places. Walmart is no where near what Sam Walton created…….its sad.

As I remember mine was a little high on the stick when I took it home the first day and looked everything over once I got it home. I have changed my own oil around 5,000 miles several times and got the 2 free Toyotacare ones, either way them and me always come out a little above the top mark on every oil change. I will say the dipstick is tricky to read. oil seems to get on it from the tube, IDK.
Next time I do oil changes in the vehicles I'm just going to pour a full 5qt of my Supertech in and carefully measure out another quart from the other jug, then see where that lands on the dipstick.

I've owned and serviced Jeeps, Nissans, Subarus, Pherds and Dodges, the Tacoma's dipstick is more troublesome than any for me and my OCD to feel like I got it at the correct level. The thing is nothing bad has happened so far, it never seems like the level changes for me between changes and the engine always seems fine.

I have noticed that my local Wal-Mart is not stocking the Toyota filter lately. Seems like the only brands they have on the shelf last time I looked was Fram, and Mobil one. Supertech, K&N, Purolator, and were available to order shipped online from the website too but not Toyota band listed there even if I searched for it by the toyota part #. Wonder if that's just for my area or if others seen that.
