    Denting usually happens when dropping an expended mag.
    In the vast majority of the time, this make no difference in functioning.
    But there you are.

    Cracking, well, it's polymer... known to happen, particularly in very cold temperatures.
    Again, in the vast majority of the time the mag is still functional, unless it's the feed lips.

    Soldiers are famously rough on equipment :p
