We have just over 3" here on the Northside of Pittsburgh in the city. Roads are still covered and there's a Winter Emergency Route in front of my house for EMS vehicles. Still snowing . I covered the car trailer with the tarp and 4x4's last night to keep it clear for Sunday night when I need to go back down to the David L. Lawrence Convention Center to haul my buddy's Buick Regal drag car back to his house. Hauled it down yesterday for setup. He hauled the rest of the parts in his truck(cowl hood, deck panel, rear deck lid, air damn, etc...), it is in the process of reconstruction for winter season.

 

Told my boss last week that the taxi transmission is slapping. Well it got stuck in 3rd gear at 7k rpms

 

Good morning PA'sters. Light, powdery snow falling in the Reading area. 26 degrees or so. GF is working from home, so I have company. Picked up Torx #40 and #55 sockets yesterday in anticipation of installing bed stiffeners in the next couple of months. Still paying for the Warn bumper, winch and Bilstein shocks at this point but by the summer travel season, they will be installed.

 

Yikes , red lining a caravan , don't think it will end well.

It happened, brakes locked up as I was entering a turn, truck went sideways and into the guardrail.

 

Can't like that, it can be repaired. Still sucks though.

That is not a good day. Hope you're not banged up and the truck isn't too badly either.

 

That's the stressful part, no visible damage other than a small scuff on the fender flare. I'm worried about the things I can't see like the wheel bearings, axles, etc.

It was a decent hit but the way it went, I'm pretty sure I hit almost square to the guardrail so everything went into the wheels and tires

Just got home from work. Yea I'm not touching it. My truck tracks through it just fine. I'd say we got about 4" here.

Main roads around here were super salted. The town roads though I think are public works dept said screw it also. I seen 1 truck today in town and dude didn't even have a plow on it. Town roads were super slick I had a couple oh shit moments. Customer in the van said oh shit I felt that yea me too buddy.

 

Looks like about 4-5” here and still coming down.
