**Official Wet Okole Group Buy**

literally about 10 minutes after i posted this i got the email! ill get them this friday.. i envy you west coast guys!

 

still no word :/

why is it that everything i order takes forever to get here?

WOOT...just called them and I should be getting a call tomorrow or Thursday to set up getting them installed in Costa Mesa!! I was getting antsy...

 

I ordered on 3/15 so with 10 to 15 business days for production and another 4-5 days for graphics I don't expect to hear from them until mid April for my shipping date. I'm trying to be patient but I will be climbing the walls by then!

 

The question is...did any of the current members who have already been given a tracking number, or even received their covers already, have logos on their order...??

If they did, and have already gotten that info, they ARE special, and the rest of us are dirt.

 

Dost thou smell a conspiracy?....hmmmm

Seriously man, we just need to be patient...IMHO. This isn't the first group buy with these folks...they've got a solid reputation around here.

 

I'm just messin...they'll pretty much get here when they get here...

how are you guys planning on installing your new wet okole seat covers?
are you planning on leaving the seat in the truck or take them off?
I should be getting my wet okoles tommorrow and was planning on installing them this weekend. Any input. I know it's much easier to take the seat out but how much work is it to take the seats off?

 

4 bolts on each seat I believe, disconnect the seatbelt and if you have airbags...disconnect the battery before removing the seats and disconnecting any of the harnesses. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

 

Dude! Wet Okole (Steve) called me today...saying something about they were extending the Group Buy if I still wanted....

Cut him off and I'm like, "man...I ordered mine day two..." and he's all checking the list or something...and then he's apologizing and "he should have checked" (or something)

Bottom Line...mine shipped Friday...I should see them this week...

Never got an e-mail...thinking about calling them back tomorrow and asking for a tracking number. He called during my nap (night shifter...not just because I'm an old guy), so I didn't focus enough to ask until after the call was over.

 

Haha, you lucky S.O.B. It feels like Christmas. I keep checking outfront to see if I somehow missed the delivery truck. Constantly checking my email to see if a confirmation got junked. Lol. Craaaaaaaappppp I want 'em

that's exactly what I'm sayin! haha. Oh well. My fingers are crossed and I'm checking the porch on the daily. We'll see. They double charged me too, so I'm getting a cleaning kit for free.

 

I had no idea what I was doing, but I put my covers on yesterday. Here are some tips for a first timer: (They may be common knowledge, I haven't looked at any install threads)

1. There are tags that say which side is which if you are wondering.

2. Save yourself the effort and take out the four bolts per seat. This will allow you to move the seat around and access the bottom MUCH more easily. I didn't disconnect the airbag wires, it didn't seem necessary.

3. If you unbolt the seats, be careful not to move the seat adjust bar. The tracks are independent and you will have to realign them before bolting the seats back down.

4. Take the time to find good placement for the straps under the seat. It makes a difference.

Got mine today and got them installed. They're amazing. Next GB I'll pick up a set for the back seats
