I want to.... I will eventually but I want to build a bumper and a jig so I can build a few to sell.

Dont have time at the moment to figure out all the little stuff that goes along with a flatbed.

If I do one (when, probably about another 180k miles) , I want to mimic the mini truck style. Bedsides can fold down. I like the storage by the rear wheels here, but I would probably do without that for a mix of utility and clearance. And probably a sleeker rear bumper. This was just what Google had to say for what I was looking to explain about the collapsing bedsides though.

    https://setoverland.com/

:spy: they also make a 6ft option for the short bed.......

I'll just ballpark it, you're looking at easy 2k+ for this though. Prices aren't listed.

I would love to make one. They do sell them premade but I really do think it would be cheaper to make one out of 80/20 extruded aluminum.

Do it. I can make whatever steel mounts you need. I think I'd make mine fully steel. One issue is finding premade boxes that'll fit just right.

Are you working on your truck this weekend? I have to make some time to swing by and pick up my spline socket before I get a flat and can’t change it. Shouldn’t happen until I’m far from home in a snowstorm so if you’re not around I can get it some other time.

I have something for him as well...

Pretty sure I have 1or 2 kicking around as well if needed.

Fuel neck is what gets most people. The guys in town(full service), say mine is the only one that takes diesel at full speed, let alone at all,, without doing weird stuff with the nozzle.

I bet that is 5-6k MINIMUM.

I dunno, maybe it's because I ran 650s without the bumper, or winch, but, this definitely got lower, and feels spongy. Much worse in the back. In fact, I took some weight out for now....
The coins I have sitting here are 700s.

We’ll have to talk after the weekend but I think I have the rest of your suspension needs covered.

    700s, yikes, can’t imagine you’re that heavy

Oooooof. I knew my "at least 2k" was weak. I expected 5. That's rough.

Who said anything about slowly? We were telling you to get a flat bed the second you dented your beside.
