Brother in law used to work at a repair shop that specialized in repairing and servicing out of warranty European luxury vehicles. He called them expensive junk.

The Europeans laugh at us for thinking that models that are used as daily drivers in Europe are considered luxury vehicles here.

In italy a couple of years and hired a taxi. It was a late model Mercedes with a 6spd manual transmission.

I think you are throwing away money and perfectly fine fluids changing them at such low mileage. I just hit 180K miles and am still on a lot if the original fluids. I just changed the Tcase fluid a couple weeks ago and it was still golden brown color. I haven’t touched the brake, steering or radiator fluids yet. Maybe in the spring.

Believe that is one of reasons why the depreciation is terrible on Euro luxury vehicles.

Didn’t care all that much with my old vehicles, other than keeping up on oil changes, and a sorta agree with you, however…

This my first brand new truck I ever bought, so being super OCD with it, even keeping a hand written fuel log from new. Being an automotive geek, always wanted to do that, but never had a brand new vehicle before. The note pad I use is waterproof, so it won’t get ruined. Lol!

So, if I do decide to keep long term, know exactly how it was treated. Spent years fixing other people’s neglect. Over it, and will never buy used ever again.

The other thought is, doing these services early flushes out any metal debris left over from the manufacturing process, and two if there are any issues that arise for warranty work, gives them less of a chance to weasel out if it. Everything is up so to date, so there!

$2995 protection package? It's a truck, don't build them with so many fragile components and they won't break.

I don't think anyone is going to buy that truck from them for that price.

Do these sales people moonlight as comedians on the weekends? $2K off MSRP with out a trade might be feasible.
