That would have been a total plot twist! How did your electric panels hold up? Did they trip and protect your electronics?
To see all that spare and salvage wood go up in smoke would have broken my spirit.

As I started reading this I thought you were leading up to the new shop burning down. Been following from the beginning. Glad to hear everything and everyone is ok.

we install whole home / whole panel surge protection in the main panel , everything survived plus in this case the arcing / surging etc was on the live side of the disconnection and we were totally unconnected to the grid after the trees tomahawk chopped the power lines off the primary pole that services our lot

...and back to our regularly scheduled programming ...

Started boring all my 5mm system holes for any shelf pins / door hinges / drawer slides using the Festool LR32 set up on my router and the holey rail

The lowers are getting 3 rows of system holes for the full height of each cabinet side . Front holes are a common standard set back of 37mm which fits all european style drawer slides and hardware . The other 2 rows are spaced off the front hole multiples of 32mm . The mounting holes of most drawer slides correspond to this 32mm increment system

I'll be mounting all my drawer slides with 5mm x 10mm Euroscrews

Is that a Festool phillips head screw driver? It appears to be. Is there a Fes"tool" you do not own?

If Festool went job site to job site in a truck full of tools like Snapon, would you be in it every time?

It's always a bad time when you get pumped up to do something then you have to postpone.
