They wouldn't go bankrupt.
People would bitch and moan, then they'd buy the new Wrangler with IFS the same way people order Broncos. And then, not too long after the debut, the forum threads would slowly pop up about how nice the new models are to drive, how comfortable they are to live with daily, and on the opposite side you'd have allll the solid axle purists saying the new ones aren't, "real," Jeeps, whatever that means, and they'd have their little pissing contests and back and forths and yet, meanwhile, away from the internet, dealer lots would still be filled with people signing finance agreements and the world would keep on turning.

 

The 100 series has a crazy rigid frame that helps keep the wheels on the ground even with the torsion bars.

You could be right. I just think they’d have to keep the boxy retro design cues like the newer IFS g wagons.

 

Yea I’ve seen those. If you can work on it yourself and find a Titan donor vehicle that’d be pretty sweet. I still think even stock they’re better than a 2nd gen 4Runner if you’re looking for a cheap woods truck.

When I drive my early FJ40 like that one... it's all I can do sometimes just to keep it from trying to kill me... 3 on the tree, manual brakes, manual steering... I cannot even imagine throwing in another challenge like using a cell phone. lol
