I was there. You were there not that long ago, it is the way it is but usually people take hints. I was blunt, I know.

Ask the guys I wheel with I don't push my truck, never did, I never really wheeled it.

It's rinse wash repeat Monday through Friday recently.

Until you talk about shit on a map, geographic location and all, then I'll apply what I know (that I've learned from land nav and call for fire, etc)

I apply my real-world gained knowledge and experience when I have to, and just stay out of what I don't know

I mean I've always been aware of it and have seen it in others but never knew the phrase for it

 

It's a great one. I have to bounce myself off of it regularly to stay humble especially in my work. And it's plain to see when you see it lol

 

TBF I don't think of myself as an expert in anything.

That said I've seen you beat the snot out of your truck plenty. And I don't think I've ever laughed as hard as when I saw you slide that supermarket of a van sideways in the Owyhees. You still have your fun I think. I'm working on Jayson to go play in the rocks and twisty things with me these days cause everyone else gone soft haha

Someone on the 80 series group gave me a ballpark quote of 8-10k to SAS my truck if I provide an axle. He'd let me do my own frame grinding. Something to keep in mind for the future.

I still want a crawler one day, just don't have friends for it locally. I mean I left my truck on the 35s for a year after the van came into the picture hoping that would manifest but I only got out once and it wasn't anything a stock truck couldn't do so it wasn't worth it.

Maybe go wheel it first and figure out you don’t actually need a solid front axle

In real life, our friend is quite enjoyable to be around. Also, I have someone to converse with who knows about little towns in upstate NY like Cazenovia. Nobody here knows what I'm talking about.

It was a fun period of my life.
