We had two guys get laid off today, didnt see it coming. It didnt get close to me, Ive got plenty of seniority. But it sucks for them. That's how contract work goes.

 

Heck of a way for them to start the new year.

Gotta remember lots of folks lost their job a few years ago and that's the jobs being added back. Gubment reporting is a interpretation.

Morning I have seen -2 here in WNC this morning.

 

Because those guys are in the union, the union will fight for them to find other union jobs with similar skill sets in the meantime at Ksc. It appears like unfortunately this is also a pre-negotiation tactic used by the company before talks start next month.

Lots to ponder and I had a solid chat with my recruiter last night before my interview next week.
