Deaver stage 1 vs 2 plus sumo springs?

    I'm on the same boat as you. I just ordered a snug top and am considering sumos for the added weight of it with camping gear. I hear your springs will wear down fast and will eventually need new leafs. It sounds like deaver leafs are the correct way of doing it. Do you still need sumo springs if you are getting stage 1 deaver leafs?

    If you get your weight to match the springs, you do not need any additional stuff. If you have too much weight on your Deavers, buy the heavier leaf pack and sell the lighter version.

    Camburg/Deaver mid travel
    I have the Stage 2s with a GFC on a DCLB. With just the GFC the ride is a bit harsh. When it’s loaded up with gear for a trip it rides perfectly. This makes the most sense for me as most wheeling trips for me coincide with camping trips.
    The Stage 1s will easily handle extra weight so if you’re planning on mostly running light I would go that route.
