ordered some new tools off the specialty discount store

$45, misidentified as an m18 drill in the listing. works to my benefit.

No offense but does anyone use the 1” bits? My standard is 2” grab and go. I hate fooling around with the bit driver. That’s why I bought a nice set like this:
    upload_2024-1-17_19-6-14.png
    and some of these:

So I didn't buy either set you or @T-Rex266 linked but my drill bit set I use for drywall and wood came with multiple 1" bits and I've used them a ton.

Although I do have multiple extensions so I use them as needed but never had an issue with the smaller set.

2" is my minimum. 3 1/2" is my preference. No bit driver. If I'm working on something with different sized bits, I'll set up a driver with each instead of changing bits all the time.

Edit: I have the same set.

I've used the shorter ones when space is limited. I favor the better visibility with the longer bits.

Pretty much all I use for my job is the 1” bits. I swap them out with the 1/4” and 3/8” driver a lot for sheet metal screws and tap cons

I’ve decided to purge my 7 1/4 M18 rear handle saw. I’ve used it a lot in the past few weeks and decided that it is too cumbersome to and does not fit in into any of my storage totes nicely. It is very useful and powerful just too big for my needs and storage space. My 6 1/2 M18 fuel suits my needs. I just don’t know if FB marketplace or Craigslist is a good spot to start.

Listed the saw for sale with 5ah and charger for $250 now we wait. :bored:

:annoyed:I would have bought this last year. I’m a concrete guy and I really like it for cutting 1 1/8” panels. I used a corded skillsaw for 25 years. The smaller circular saw don’t have the weight or length and don’t feel right cutting a panel.

    Or the power.
Most of the rear handle saws, especially the dewalt 60v rear handle saw are less prone to kick back because of how powerful they are. I’ve done some sketchy stuff with skilsaws that would make any framer proud lol

I’ve done things that would make a metal fabricator proud. You would be amazed how well a backwards blade cuts through sheet metal:anonymous:

    That's cheap!

I have both those tools; the ratchet just comes in handy all the time when working on the rigs (if you remember you own it) and the cut off tool is one of those things that you don't realize is super handy until you need it
