The cost of electricity is guaranteed to go up once we have no other options. It already is.

Yep, we have been watching it inch up over the years. Once they get everyone to convert over to EV, just watch it skyrocket. The true owners of this country has the common folk by the balls, that grip will only get tighter.

    Too many to remember
Not true, charging an EV with tier 4 rates in San Diego is a lot more expensive than purchasing gas when you do the miles per dollar math

The big oil companies are all publicly traded. Why not buy a few shares and you could be an oil company oligarch too and bask in all the free money.

Buying shares in oil won't make an oligarch and enable me to receive millions just for being me. Though I know I'm worthy :p

Here in NJ we get a special lower rate for EV charging at home. It depends on how your state thinks EV's are worthy of their oil beliefs....I mean personal beliefs.

We don’t get a special rate, but charging during off ours is slightly cheaper.

They are going to expand a wind farm here taking over BLM land, which will lock the public out of it from using it, plus put a little more strain on that local ecosystem. Power will be sent to the surrounding states including California, profits then will go to a company based in New York.

On a side note here in Idaho, 75% of power comes from renewables and supposedly is going to be 100% from by 2040.

Premium was like $3.60 a gallon last time I filled up which was like two weeks ago. Good news is there's a proposed additional tax on ICE vehicles, which should help the poor and underserved communities real well. There will also be a new EV tax at some point. That way everyone who drives can pay more in taxes.

I would start with the history of the Gold Standard to why the US dollar isn’t worth a damn.

    https://www.everycrsreport.com/reports/R41887.html

Doesn’t matter who is on the throne, politicians are tools, the public are pawns. The world isn’t run by nations, it is however run by corporations. :)

This movie had a bit of foresight of the World today. :)

    https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0074958/characters/nm0000885

Arthur Jensen : “You have meddled with the primal forces of nature, Mr. Beale, and I won't have it! Is that clear? You think you've merely stopped a business deal. That is not the case! The Arabs have taken billions of dollars out of this country, and now they must put it back! It is ebb and flow, tidal gravity! It is ecological balance! You are an old man who thinks in terms of nations and peoples. There are no nations. There are no peoples. There are no Russians. There are no Arabs. There are no third worlds. There is no West. There is only one holistic system of systems, one vast and immane, interwoven, interacting, multivariate, multinational dominion of dollars. Petro-dollars, electro-dollars, multi-dollars, reichmarks, rins, rubles, pounds, and shekels. It is the international system of currency which determines the totality of life on this planet. That is the natural order of things today. That is the atomic and subatomic and galactic structure of things today! And YOU have meddled with the primal forces of nature, and YOU... WILL... ATONE! Am I getting through to you, Mr. Beale? You get up on your little twenty-one inch screen and howl about America and democracy. There is no America. There is no democracy. There is only IBM, and ITT, and AT&T, and DuPont, Dow, Union Carbide, and Exxon. Those are the nations of the world today. What do you think the Russians talk about in their councils of state, Karl Marx? They get out their linear programming charts, statistical decision theories, minimax solutions, and compute the price-cost probabilities of their transactions and investments, just like we do. We no longer live in a world of nations and ideologies, Mr. Beale. The world is a college of corporations, inexorably determined by the immutable bylaws of business. The world is a business, Mr. Beale. It has been since man crawled out of the slime. And our children will live, Mr. Beale, to see that... perfect world... in which there's no war or famine, oppression or brutality. One vast and ecumenical holding company, for whom all men will work to serve a common profit, in which all men will hold a share of stock. All necessities provided, all anxieties tranquilized, all boredom amused. And I have chosen you, Mr. Beale, to preach this evangel.”

This popped up in my feed. Now this is a cool use of hydrogen. Such a sucker for vintage vehicles. We had a late 70s Wagoneer at one point. Huge POS, but it looked cool.
